100 years

DIRICKX is celebrating the 100th anniversary of a successful history in 2021. Bold decisions, a look always on the future and the art of constantly reinventing oneself have made a small 30M2 factory one of the largest French manufacturers of solutions in the service of perimeter protection.

DIRICKX has always followed its own path, believed in its strengths and gave the sector significant impetus with its new ideas.

DIRICKX's threefold facet of fencing, gates and access control helps protect millions of "spaces" around the world, and its success continues to grow. Jacques DIRICKX represented the third generation of the family business; Today Wim DEBLAUWE, loyal buyer of this family business, intends to continue this "success story".
1921 Founding of DIRICKX - TRIQUE

At the initiative of Armand DIRICKX, of Belgian origin, the company DIRICKX-TRIQUE (TRIQUE, from the name of his wife) is founded. The first fences and nails are produced in a 30m2 workshop in Congrier, Mayenne.

1949 DIRICKX expands

To meet growing demand, a new 2500m2 factory is built in Renazé.

1965 15 000 m² of factory

Completion of a large 15 000 m2 production facility in Renazé.

1971 A High Adherence coating line

Installation of the most efficient high-adherence plastic coating line on the European market for DT Plast wire. The process is optimised for mesh roll and welded panel fences.

1984 Jacques DIRICKX, son of Albert DIRICKX, becomes Chairman and CEO.

1991 Start of internationalisation

The Group's international expansion begins with the creation of its Slovak subsidiary, BC TORSION.

1991 Launch of AXIS® posts

DIRICKX launches the first AXIS® slotted posts for rigid panels without mounting accessories.

1994 Creation of a first agency ESPACE CLÔTURE branch

Founding of the DIRICKX installation and commissioning business with the creation of the first ESPACE CLÔTURE branch in Rennes (35).

1993 Creation of DIRICKX BOHEMIA in the Czech Republic.

Creation of DIRICKX BOHEMIA in the Czech Republic.

2006 Best Entrepreneur of the Year

Jacques DIRICKX voted France’s top Entrepreneur of the year.

2009 Acquisitions of the company TGL

Acquisitions of the company TGL, specialising in the coating of gates.

2012 Made in Mayenne

The DIRICKX group emphasises its heritage, stamping products with the logo "Made in Mayenne 53".

Creation of DIRICKX SERVICES, a subsidiary to manage commissioning, maintenance, after-sales service and spare parts for motorised gates.

2015 3rd best supply partner in distribution

JardinPlus rewards DIRICKX with its bronze trophy by naming it 3rd best supplier.

2017 Wim DEBLAUWE becomes President of the DIRICKX Group

SALE OF THE GROUP Wim DEBLAUWE becomes President of the DIRICKX Group

2018 DIRICKX becomes a subsidiary of PICOT

Suppression of the legal entity DIRICKX Group. Creation of the PICOT holding company.

2019 "Technologies and Innovation in the Garden" Prize

At the JDC show, the Leroy Merlin jury awards DIRICKX the "Technologies and Innovation in the garden" award for the Axyle® H-shaped post innovation.

2021 Centenary

DIRICKX joins the elite circle of great century old brands.
