Reference to standards

Our quality strategy is based on compliance with the applicable standards in our profession.

Standards for finished products

These standards define products in terms of shape, tolerance, nature of materials, etc.
  • EN 10223-1 : Steel barbed wire (such as RONCEUROP, CORRAL®, ATAC).
  • EN 10223-2/3 : Hexagonal steel mesh fencing (TTX).
  • EN 10223-4 : Welded steel fencing (AXIAL®, BASTILLE, etc.).
  • EN 10223-5 : Knotted steel fencing for livestock (DICLO®).
  • EN 10223-6 : Chainlink (JARDICLO, FLUIDEX®, GALVEX®, etc.).
  • EN 10223-7 : Welded steel panels (AXIS®, AXOR®).

Standards for wire galvanising

The zinc-based metal coating of steel wires contributes to the durability of fences:
the thickness of the zinc coating is a decisive factor in protecting against corrosion.

Standards for plastic coatings

The quality of the coating determines product life. For several years,DIRICKX has been
committed to complying with the applicable standards for plastic coatings.

Standard NF EN 10245-2 on PVC coating lays down the requirements in terms of mass and quality.
Fences in rolls along with chainlink and edging all comply with this standard.

Standard EN 13438 lays down the requirements for polyester coatings.
This standard is applied to products including the AXOR® and AXIS® Design panels and AXIS®,
AXOR®, UNIVERS and FAPEX® posts.

NF EN 13241-1 gate standards

All manual and motorised DIRICKX gates comply with European standard NF EN 13241-1,
in force since 1 June 2005. This system of reference comprises 16 normative documents, the keystone
being standard NF EN 13241-1. It aims to improve the security of the end user, standardise the level of
requirement at European level by introducing a common system of reference, and ensure the free
circulation of products within the European Union.

Drawn up by the European Committee for Standardisation, it applies to manual and motorised doors
gates and barriers
which are designed for installation in areas accessible to people and used
to provide access in complete security to goods and vehicles accompanied or driven
by people
on industrial and commercial premises or in garages in residential areas.

It does not apply to:
  • Manual gates with a surface area of > 6.25m2 for use by people.
  • Motorised gates with a width of > 2.50m and a surface area of > 6.25m2
    essentially designed for pedestrians.
  • Barriers intended solely for vehicles.

The installer must protect access to the retraction area of the gate according to standard NF EN 12635 by eliminating risks of crushing, shearing and dragging. The fence must therefore be installed a safe distance
away from the moving leaf. This safe distance takes into account exposed parts of the human body as laid
down in standard NF EN 294.

Wind belts: DTU P06 (NV65 revision no. 3)

This document enables us to choose products depending on where they will be installed, in particular with regard to wind speed.
It defines five climate areas (Z1 to Z5).
